Global Alliance Against Female Genital Mutilation

----- The resolution "Intensifying global efforts for the elimination of female genital mutilation" is adopted by the UN.
The decision was taken the 20th of December 2012 at 16:50 European time, UN General Assembly in New York ------

100 to 140 million women live with the consequences of FGM, and every year three to four million girls and young women are at risk to undergo the practice.
