Global Alliance Against Female Genital Mutilation

----- The resolution "Intensifying global efforts for the elimination of female genital mutilation" is adopted by the UN.
The decision was taken the 20th of December 2012 at 16:50 European time, UN General Assembly in New York

100 to 140 million women live with the consequences of FGM, and every year three to four million girls and young women are at risk to undergo the practice.
